October in Review

In the beginning of the month we went to the Elegant Farmer to pick apples and pumpkins.

This is pretty much how A was the whole time the rest of us were picking apples:

Both of the girls really liked walking around to find just the right tree to pick from.

They had a hard time but they did eventually find the perfect pumpkins.

Afterwards they got to have carmel apples and ride some giant rocking horses.

One day we went outside to pick some leaves for a project J had at school.  Both of the girls were having fun playing with the leaves in the parking lot.  They said they wanted to jump in piles of leaves so they called Grandma to see if they could jump in her leaves.

One day J had a milk moustache and she asked me to take her picture.  These are the pictures that soon followed.

Last but not least we have our Witch and Doctor.
Jazmine-Halloween
J's page says: J wanted to be a witch for Halloween and I think she pulled it off pretty well. When she put on her costume she had this cute pouty face which really worked for this costume. We told her how good she looked when she wasn’t smiling so for the longest time she wouldn’t smile. It was so not like her so we kept thinking there was something wrong with her. After we figured out that she was playing with us she got a good laugh. As you can see, by the time she started trick-or-treating she was back to her “normal” self. This picture is a pretty good shot of how she looked the rest of the time. She was flying around the neighborhood.

A's page says: As soon as A saw this costume she really wanted to be a doctor for Halloween. The costume came with a name tag and I had a feeling that she already knew what she wanted her name to be. For the last few weeks she has had this little nickname that she has been calling all of us. “Pumpkin Mumpkin” When she was asked what kind of doctor she was she said that she was a doctor that helps babies. She said she helps them keep all their blood in. I think she really picked this costume just so she could play doctor at home with her dolls.

As always, we miss you all very much.  I hope you enjoyed seeing our pictures.

Getting back into the swing of things

Since school started someone has decided that she knows everything.  She has also decided to start talking back every chance she gets.  It's been a rough week and it's been an adjustment for everyone.  Hopefully we will get a chance to go out tomorrow and we will make sure we take along the camera so you can see some more smiling faces.

First day of school blues

We all couldn't wait for this day. J started Senior Kindergarten today. She was excited to see what it would be like to be at school all day. She finally fit into some of the beautiful clothes that Buscia bought her for her birthday. She just had to wear this pretty little outfit even though it was going to be at least 90 degrees. She did look awfully cute. :)

Mommy took her to school. As soon as we got out of the car she asked "Mommy, can you please not hold my hand anymore?" I think Mommy got a little choked up on that one. She walked ahead by herself.

She could wait to get up to the school and see all of her old friends. Doesn't she look all grown up here?

This is the same pose she had last year to show off her pretty back pack. I think that she might grow into this one by the time she turns 18.

She was a little mad that Mommy wouldn't let her play on the playground but she got over it really quick.
A was so bored all day. She kept asking when J would be home from school. Mommy took her shopping and let her pick out something for herself. She bought a Disney movie and it came with this beautiful princess crown that she refused to take off when we went to pick up J. Isn't she beautiful?

She wanted to go inside to get J because she couldn't wait to see her.

She got a little mad when Mommy said it wasn't time yet.

I don't think anyone was too happy with today. School was a lot longer than J or A had expected. J got into a little trouble already on her first day. She came out of school with a band aid on her finger because she had found some glass. She ended up getting cut with it. She also didn;t wuite understand that she couldn't just take milk at lunch because she already had her own drink and she hadn't paid for any milk. It was a learning experience for everyone but we are excited to see what comes with the year ahead.

Pretty Lake

We went to Pretty Lake in Wild Rose for the weekend. It was a relaxing weekend and we got to spend time with Kirsten, Emilio, Samantha and our Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandma. Our favorite thing to do was SWIMMING. We spent a lot of time in the water. By the end of the weekend we could hardly talk and we had the sniffles.

Here is J getting buried in the sand:

She had a tough time digging herself out.

Here brother and sisters had to help dig her out.

Samantha made us a T.V. :) J even found a new fangled remote control.

J loved jumping off of the pier. Mommy had a hard time getting a good picture because it was running and jumping over and over and over again.

Mommy took a few of the older kids geocaching. The didn't have much luck finding anything but they did manage to get all sweaty and have lots of scrapes, cuts and itchies.

This was the last spot they went to. Mommy thought it was beautiful and could have spent the whole day there. We really enjoy Pretty Lake and everything around there. We can't wait to go again next year.

Pretty Princesses

We had a BBQ at Summer and Sierra's house. (Mommies friend and her daughter) Sierra had some pretty dress up clothes that she gave us. Of course we were so happy because they were princess dresses. We love dressing up as princesses and couldn't wait to put them on and play at home.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Yes, it's true. Mommy turned 35 today. We tried to make the day very special for her. After she got home from work we had her presents waiting for her. We each gave her a chocolate bar and she was so nice that she gave us the first pieces. We made these pretty little cards for her and celebrated with a cake after dinner. Mommy said that this was her best birthday ever because we made her smile so much!

There's nothing like a long walk

This morning was pretty quiet. J got home around 12:00. The afternoon was pretty noisy and we acted a little crazy. We spent a lot of time coloring and then had some ring pops that A had bought when she went shopping the last time with Mommy. A had to be a show off again when she had her picture taken.

After dinner we went for a really nice walk with Mommy. It would be nice if Mommy took us on more walks like this one. Of course Mommy brought along her camera. She finally learned that she misses out on great picture moments when she forgets to bring it along. We found this really huge tree and asked her to take a picture of it. Since it's a weeping willow and that's her favorite kind of tree she took the picture for us. She also took some pictures of us being silly on our walk.
