It's hard to believe that the little one is 5 years old now. She had a great day. At school she was treated like a princess and, of course, got a birthday crown. After school we went to Grandma's house for a little while.
It was kind of funny because Grandma planned on taking her shopping to pick out her gift. Well, while we were there, both girls were playing in the leaves. I joked with them that they needed to rake them up so they quickly ran and got a small rake from Uncle D. I told A that the rake was her gift from Grandma. She actually got really happy about it and kept saying it was her birthday gift while she was sharing it with her sister and the little neighbor boy.
We sang happy birthday and had leftover birthday cake. A was not happy that I didn't give her a very big piece. We hadn't had dinner yet so I was trying to skimp on what I gave her. We I told her that I was leaving most of the cake there for everyone else she wasn't very happy with me.
We didn't get any pictures at Grandma's but she was more than happy to pose in her crown for me at home.
